Hi, I’m so sorry for some reason this message has only just shown up. You could at least have come along and talked to Peter at the Early Music Shop (where they have lots of medieval string instruments!). I’ll add you to our mailing list so you get notifications of future events. Out of interest, where in Scotland do you live? I give concerts across Scotland with my ensemble AB24, and I’m a visiting performance fellow at Aberdeen university so I might be able to point you in the direction of something interesting nearer to home too!
